Award-winning TV journalist speaks at Flagler College

Usually speakers ask members of the audience to turn off their mobile phones, but Chris Gordon on Monday urged students to make sure their phones were on.
Gordon, a reporter and legal analyst at NBC4 in Washington, D.C., was the keynote speaker at Communication Week at Flagler College in St. Augustine, Fla.
The Flagler College Communication Department and the Flagler College chapter of the Public Relations Society of America organized the event, now in its 7th year.
Gordon told students they must have “passion” above all else to succeed in journalism today. He encouraged students to post their reactions to his talk on Twitter as he spoke.
The photos on this page show Gordon during his keynote address, then follow him as he goes to lunch with a group of Flagler College professors and students. See these and other photos from Day 1 here.
Communication Week ends on March 9.
