Flagler College held a reception Thursday for two professors who are retiring at the end of this semester. Stephen Thomas is an assistant professor in the Business Department. Rosemary Tutt, an associate professor, teaches public relations in the Communication Department. Fellow professors, students and administrators – including President William T. Abare Jr. – attended the reception at the Markland House in St. Augustine, Fla.

Stephen Thomas spent decades in business and management, working as a CEO and group president, before joining Flagler College. He called teaching the best job he has ever had.

Dr. Tracy Halcomb, chair of the Communication Department, thanked Rosemary Tutt for her professionalism, sacrifice and years of service to the college. At right are Associate Dean Yvan Kelly and President William T. Abare Jr. Also attending the reception was Alan Woolfolk, dean of Academic Affairs.

Here’s a collage I made for Rosemary, affectionately known as “Queen Tutt.” We’ll miss her in the Communication Department. She’s been a terrific colleague and we hope she’ll return from time to time to share her public relations wisdom with students.
